Driven to reduce the number of plastic straws used in Singapore and around the world, 17 year old Ang Zyn Yee shares how plastic waste is destroying the planet and what we can collectively do to save the planet before the damage becomes irreversible.

Ang Zyn Yee • Student Environmentalist

Ang Zyn Yee, aged 17, is a passionate Student Environmentalist who runs Straw free Singapore. Currently studying at Hwa Chong Institution, Zyn Yee splits her time between school, captain of her touch rugby team, and her spearheading her passion project— Straw Free Singapore. Straw Free Singapore is a youth-driven campaign to reduce the number of plastic straws used in Singapore through partnerships with F&B establishments and institutions, assembly talks at primary and secondary schools, and advocacy booths at green events.
